Job Setting: Hotel (National Chain)
Ensure that all night work is completed in a timely and accurate manner. Assist with management of some Front Office operations to ensure profitability, control costs and quality standards to insure total guest satisfaction.
Provide guidance and leadership to the night shift. Ensure consistent quality of customer service is provided to all guests in accordance with our hotel standards and policy.
Manages, administers, and supervises all guest service areas, in order to maintain the highest level of courteous, professional and efficient service across the hotel.
Manage night operations throughout the hotel. Apply reinforce new procedures and service standards. Examine and verify charges and posting of Guest Service Agents. Balance City Ledger. Balance room revenue. Prepare daily transaction summary. Clear Front Office system and set for start of day. Ensure all banquets checks are posted, balance all charges to register tapes, and review food and beverage summary.
Communicate with Front Office Manager/Director regarding problems with cashiering functions of Guest Service Agents.
Review security cameras daily for safety and security of guest, staff and hotel.
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.
Perform any other duties as required by a Manager.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:
Must have the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
EXPEREINCE and SKILLS:
• Must possess the ability to post and balance large amounts of charges efficiently and accurately.
• Ability to learn and perform all essential job functions accurately and safely with minimal direct supervision, within initial training period after employee begins work..
• Knowledge of OnQ.
• Good knowledge of MS Office products.
• Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent.
• Post secondary education an asset.
• Competent in Micro Soft Office Applications (Word and Excel).
